The building
A new residential building in central Gliwice, set in dense city-centre development. The building steps back several times, so its flat roofs sit at different heights and some of them adjoin apartment terraces.
Scope of work
- synthetic membrane covering of the flat roofs on every level of the building,
- parapet flashings and junctions with the walls of higher storeys,
- watertight penetrations for chimneys, vents and installations,
- roof drainage with outlets.
The challenge
A large number of penetrations on relatively small roof areas, plus junctions with the facade on several levels. In places like these, watertightness depends on the details rather than on the covering area itself.
Result
A uniform, light-coloured covering on every level of the building, with tidy penetrations and drainage. Warranty on the covering of up to 15 years, depending on the system used.
